CHSP is for lower-level, entry-level support. If your needs are more complex (i.e., needing more substantial ongoing care), a Home Care Package might be more appropriate.
How often can I receive CHSP services?
Often you may access one or two services per week under CHSP, depending on need and availability.
What happens if my needs change (increase)?
If your needs become more complex, you may be reassessed and referred for a Home Care Package or other higher-level supports.

What does “entry-level support” mean under CHSP?
It means helping with a few practical tasks or services, rather than full day-to-day care; the program supports your independence rather than doing everything for you.
Where do I find a provider?
You can use the My Aged Care “Find a provider” tool. Also providers like NestWorks advertise their CHSP services.
What are the key features of choosing us?
We have over 20 years’ experience. We provide a person-centred approach, trained staff, and flexible scheduling.
How is the care plan developed?
After assessment, a care plan (or service agreement) is developed, based on your goals, needs, preferences.
Are there scheduled reviews of the services under CHSP?
Yes — we review your services regularly (e.g., annually) to ensure they still meet your needs.
What happens if I can’t afford my contribution?
We ensure you’re not denied services if you can’t contribute. They should have policies for those unable to pay.
How many services can I access, and what happens if I need more support than CHSP allows?
CHSP is designed for older people with lower-level needs who might need one or two types of assistance. If you require more ongoing or complex services, you may be referred for a Home Care Package instead.
